Building Demolition Nearing Completion

Total Groundwater Processed

Through mid-June, 2019, approximately 1.35 million gallons of groundwater have been processed through the Permanent Groundwater Treatment System (Final Treatment System), which has been operational since April 2, 2019.

Previously, approximately 17 million gallons of groundwater were processed through the Temporary Groundwater Treatment System (TGTS) to maintain hydraulic capture of the plume. The TGTS operated from May 23, 2017 until the Final Treatment System was operational.

Building E Mezzanine Demolition

Demolition of Building A, the final building structure to be demolished, began last week and is approximately 50% complete. Building E demolition is complete and placement of liner over the slab is nearly complete. For a summer demolition update, see Demo Progress 24JUN – 7 JUL 2016.
