Latest Off-Site Shipping Campaign Complete

Total Groundwater Processed

Through mid-June, 2019, approximately 1.35 million gallons of groundwater have been processed through the Permanent Groundwater Treatment System (Final Treatment System), which has been operational since April 2, 2019.

Previously, approximately 17 million gallons of groundwater were processed through the Temporary Groundwater Treatment System (TGTS) to maintain hydraulic capture of the plume. The TGTS operated from May 23, 2017 until the Final Treatment System was operational.

A total of 32 additional containers have been shipped off site via four rail cars from 28 July to 6 August 2014. Material consisted of interior building debris for a estimated total of 385,000 lbs. The next shipment of off-site waste is scheduled for this fall.
